Hi all. A quick chat about the BMX track on Station Road. We have some very dedicated volunteers who live near the track who open and close this wonderful facility for us, and have done so for several years now. They always endeavour to make sure the track is open outside School hours, weekends and of course School holidays so that all can have maximum usage.

However! They are only human like the rest of us, and occasionally real life means they cannot get the track open as early as some might want, and may have to close it early for the same reason.

So why do we have to close it at all? Sadly, because we do have some irresponsible individuals who try to use the track for the wrong purposes, and even sadder some irresponsible dog owners who allow their pets to foul the area and not clear it up.

Also - sometimes our volunteers may have just closed the gate, but not necessarily have locked it do please try it to see if it will open.

Above all, I would ask all to be patient and try again later, and to please not knock on our volunteer’s door, they are doing their very best!

Hello all

I am very happy to announce that in a joint venture between the Stondon Recreation Association and the Stondon Parish Council, the children's Play Area up on the main Recreation Ground will be undergoing a major refurbishment.

This will involve repairs, repainting and cleaning which we hope will ensure this popular facility remains fully functioning and safe for many more years to come.

The work is starting on Monday 26 June and the Play Area will be shut for about a week while the work is being done.

Thank you
